Frequently Asked Questions
REFERENCE PHOTOS
The most important thing I can say is, the more the better! Having multiple photos helps me capture every detail to ensure I accurately portray your pet’s personality and qualities. The photos do not have to be professionally taken, but better photos, such as good lighting and not pixelated, result in a better finished piece. The photos also must be your own to avoid copyright infringement.
SUBJECTS
I have quite a bit of experience drawing a wide variety of subjects. However, my main focus is on pet portraits, such as dogs, horses, cats, and birds, or whatever else you may consider a pet. I am always open to new challenges! So if you have a request other than that of a pet, please feel free to reach out!
TIMEFRAME
There are many variables when considering how soon you will receive your custom portrait. My best advice is to plan ahead and contact me as soon as you’re ready to commit, especially if you need it as a gift by a certain date. As I also have a full time job aside from my artwork, and depending on my workload of commissions ahead of yours, expect that it may be up to a few months before you receive your finished piece. However, I will be very transparent and open throughout the process and will do my best to give you a general idea of when I will be able to begin and when it will be finished. Keep in mind that Christmas is my busiest time of year, so if you would like to gift a portrait during that time, reach out to me several months prior so I can get you on my list. Thank you for your understanding!
SHIPPING
The price of a portrait includes shipping anywhere in the U.S. and they are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS). International shipping will be an additional cost, which will be determined upon order.
DEPOSIT
Before I begin your custom portrait, a 50% deposit is required. Once I get your approval of the final piece, the remaining balance is due before it is shipped.
